A scheduled maintenance is performed to the information systems of the Estonian Tax and Customs Board (ETCB) due to systems upgrading starting on 4 December in the evening at 22:00 and expected to last until 5 December 09:00 in the morning.
“Due to the maintenance works we recommend planning and performing all the operations related to the ETCB information systems and databases, including the clearance of customs or excise goods, before or after the interruption,” said Kristjan Raid, Head of Business Technology at ETCB.
“ETCB wishes to provide simple and convenient e-services to taxpayers, which is why large- scale maintenance and upgrading works need to be undertaken from time to time.
To avoid any inconvenience this may cause, we have planned to carry out the works at night. We apologize for the inconvenience."
During the downtime, the ETCB's online services environment e-MTA as well as the IT systems and X-tee services accessible via the e-MTA will be unavailable. Similarly, queries for public information cannot be made in the ETCB information systems. The customs application Complex will be set to input mode (declarations can be entered but not confirmed) from the evening of 4 December at 21:00 and then closed to users at 22:00. The postal parcel and traveller's declaration application is unavailable in the evening of 4 December from 21:00.
Upon border crossing, the customs procedures can be performed by means of fallback procedures, which may take a little longer than usual. Fallback procedures can also be used upon the movement of excise goods (EMCS, SADHES, MAIS).
